Peachicks @No17: Glutenfree Veggie Fritter (Eggfree, Vegan)

Peachicks @No17: Glutenfree Veggie Fritter (Eggfree, Vegan)

Who said eating your veggies needed to be boring!  These pretty little veggie fritters are completely customisable.  Using up whatever veggies are lurking in the fridge or is to hand up on the allotment.  With only 3 ingredients (yes I’m counting veggies as 1!) and taking less than 10 minutes to whip up on a portable gas stove, they are a great for a quick lunch when starvation strikes up on the allotment!  We keep a stock of glutenfree flour in a sealed plastic container in the shed along with a non-stick frying pan and add whatever veggies are in season!

No Allotment is complete without somewhere to cook & with the help of UncommonGoods.com we have found some great gadgets for The Perfect Shed Kitchen!

I am notoriously hopeless at remembering both Daddy Peacock’s Birthday and our Wedding Anniversary. In fact the only thing I am worse at, is actually buying him a decent present. Partly because he is so hard to buy for and partly because if he wants something he usually buys it for himself.  So when UncommonGoods  asked me if I would like to give their fab range of Men’s gift guides a go, I jumped at the chance! (how many wifey brownie points does this get me?!)

Peachicks @No17 Allotment Diaries: Top Tips for Growing & Eating Lettuce

Lettuce.  When I was a kid it came in 2 kinds – the crunchy one (iceberg) or that weird papery one!  Today you don’t have to go to any special shops to find all sorts of different varieties at lots of different prices!  There is absolutely no need to pay these hefty prices, lettuce is ridiculously easy to grow.  All it needs is a bit of soil, some water and protection from slugs.  It will even grow in the shade and underneath or in between other crops!  We have absolutely loads of it at No17, our little allotment so here are our Top Tips for Growing & Eating Lettuce!
