The Perfect Shed Kitchen Gadgets with UncommonGoods
No Allotment is complete without somewhere to cook & with the help of UncommonGoods.com we have found some great gadgets for The Perfect Shed Kitchen!
I am notoriously hopeless at remembering both Daddy Peacock’s Birthday and our Wedding Anniversary. In fact the only thing I am worse at, is actually buying him a decent present. Partly because he is so hard to buy for and partly because if he wants something he usually buys it for himself. So when UncommonGoods asked me if I would like to give their fab range of Men’s gift guides a go, I jumped at the chance! (how many wifey brownie points does this get me?!)
The only trouble is I could’ve spent HOURS trawling through the website trying to find something for Daddy Peacock, there are some truly great gadgets & unusual gifts to be found. They even have personalised gifts, great for Wedding presents with a more personal touch or for celebrating Anniversaries with your special someone! Eventually, the Peachicks & I decided that stocking his Allotment Shed Kitchen was the way forward and chose a host of BBQ goodies we knew he would love… (Photo Credits for product images UncommonGoods.com)
Kabob Grilling Baskets – These worked great with larger chunks of veggies & with smaller corn on the cobs. The four sides meant that the veggies were evenly cooked, although we did lose a baby beetroot or two out of the top corner gap! We did discover that they are perfect for grilling rhubarb stalks in! And the smell of it as it roasted… OMG!
Travel Cooking Essentials Kit – Honestly this little kit has everything in it – Even a tiny chopping board! Daddy P was really impressed at just how much fit inside the bag & how the utensils were cleverly designed to fold up!
This Non-stick Perforated Grilling Pan is amazing – its designed for all those small bits you want to cook on the BBQ but can’t as they will fall through. It also made THE MOST AMAZING crispy kale chips! And No sticking!! The handle is extra long so no burnt fingers either!
Ultimate To-Go Container – This is one clever little lunchbox! The fact you take out the dividers in the bottom layers makes it so versatile. The steam valve for when you need to microwave your lunch is genius and by designing the ice pack to sit within the box saves so much space! It is also really robust & the salad dressing bottle means that Daddy P’s salads stay perfectly crisp until lunchtime! (I would like a pink one please!)
Overall Impression of The Perfect Shed Kitchen & UncommonGoods.com
Shipping was really quick and everything arrived well packaged and in excellent condition. Daddy Peacock was almost as excited as The Peachicks on Christmas Morning (YES Wifey Win!!) Sadly, the weather was then horrendous & we were all ill so its taken a couple of weeks to be able to road test The Perfect Shed Kitchen gadgets BUT I am happy to say that yesterday we held an end of season BBQ up at No17. Overall Daddy P was pretty impressed with his presents and would definitely recommend Uncommon Goods for that hard to buy for someone!
I hadn’t actually heard of Uncommon Goods before but a quick rummage around their website made for very interesting reading! We’ve all heard about the Health Care situation in America right now so its reassuring to read that Uncommon Goods offer health insurance to most of their employees. They are also committed to sourcing their products from manufacturers who ‘make their products in a more socially and environmentally responsible manner.’ AND they will even make a $1 donation on your behalf to non-profits through their Better to Give Program!
*I have left a few hints for Daddy Peacock as there are a few things on the site I wouldn’t mind finding in my stocking on Christmas Morning!!
**This is a sponsored post in collaboration with UncommonGoods. We were also sent items for review… HOWEVER all opinions expressed are those of Daddy Peacock – trust me he is even fussier & more opinionated than the Peachicks!!**
