Fed up of the Vegetarian alternative at a BBQ being Mushrooms or worse Soya based? Then look no further because July is #FreefromBBQs month and here is my beautiful contribution… #FreeFromBBQs: BBQ Apricot & Nectarine ‘Steak’ Salad. The ‘steak’ in this case being lightly charred stone fruits, delicately flavoured with Lemon Thyme from No17. The texture of the fruit ‘steaks’ makes them a great meat alternative and no soy or mushrooms in sight! It is perfect for any summer get together with friends or family as it is Eggfree, Glutenfree and soyfree. This would also make a delicious centrepiece to a vegan BBQ spread, by swapping the Feta for soyfree, vegan cheese!
In need of a Lunchbox Lifesaver? Then look no further than this yummy Sultana Tea Loaf! Full of plump juicy sultanas surrounded with a moist, soft sponge and topped with crunchy granola. Best of all it is Dairyfree, Eggfree, Vegan & will last all week in an airtight tin, so you can bake a batch on Sunday ready for the week ahead!

The basic dough is 50% wholemeal and made from just 3 ingredients (flour, baking block & water). Best of all these can be flavoured anyway you want – so go get creative! We’d love to see your favourite flavour combinations!
It’s been a while since the first #RecipeRefurb Challenge, where I updated one of most visited recipes on the Peachicks’ Bakery – Slow Cooked Rosemary & Garlic Lamb Breast. The Peachicks and I have been enjoying some quality time together over the Easter holidays AND you may have noticed a few posts about our new allotment too! This time it’s the turn of these Chewy Apple & Sultana Flapjacks, which are a perfect snack for a day digging on the allotment!

These Vegan Olive Tomato & Basil Swirls are full of lovely Mediterranean flavours and perfect to show off the fruity flavour of Olive Oil. They are dairyfree, suitable for vegans and easy to make gluten-free by using suitable puff pastry. Gluten free pastry is becoming more readily available in supermarkets but check the ingredients its not always soyfree or vegan.
These little Mediterranean Swirly Bread rolls, filled with garlic, tomatoes and olives, have quickly become a staple of Elodie’s Preschool lunchboxes. She especially likes them with cherry tomato pieces in them as apparently they go pop! These rolls have no salt in them, are dairyfree, eggfree & soyfree, and keep really well in a sealed container. The added bonus of making them yourself is that you can make them as big or as small as you like! These are small enough to fit inside the cups of a normal muffin tin and can be sprinkled with dairyfree cheese before baking for an extra crunchy top!
